The Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2027

Windrush Day Grant Scheme now open.

The Windrush Day Grant Scheme provides funding to communities looking to commemorate, celebrate and educate about the Windrush Generation and their contribution. The application deadline is 11:59pm on 29th October 2026, for projects taking place in 2027.

Church Urban Fund, through its Near Neighbours programme, administers the Windrush Day Grant Scheme on behalf of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

The Windrush Day Grant Scheme brings communities together, across different ages and ethnic backgrounds, to raise awareness, build pride, and encourage and inspire young people about the contribution of the Windrush generation and their descendants.

The best way to learn more is to come to a workshop, where we explain the criteria and application process. These are online on 9th and 13th October (11–12am) and also the 14th and 20th October (6–7 pm).
